Care and coverage at ARC
Confirm your plan and authorization
We're a Blue Shield of California provider for adult substance use disorder treatment, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs. Prior authorization is required, and we help you get it.
Coverage and network arrangements depend on your specific plan. Confirm approval requirements and costs before care begins; submitting an assessment request is not an authorization.
Ask about the format that fits
ARC provides IOP in person in Yuba City or by telehealth, as well as PHP. The existing ARC offering states that virtual IOP is available to Blue Shield of California commercial members, subject to authorization. Clinical fit and the benefits of your individual plan still need to be checked.
- Telehealth IOP for adults in CaliforniaLive, scheduled video sessions—not an on-demand course.
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Yuba CityScheduled group and individual treatment several days a week; no overnight stay.
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)More daily structure than IOP; return home at night.
How we check your plan
Insurance details can be confusing when you are already worried about getting help. Ask us to check your specific plan rather than relying on the insurance company name alone.
Questions to clarify before treatment:
Is the recommended program covered, and what is ARC's network status for my plan?
Do I need a referral or prior authorization before starting?
If I want telehealth, does my plan cover that format?
What deductible, copayment or coinsurance may apply?
Are any approved visits or services subject to limits or further review?
A benefits check is not a guarantee of payment. Your insurer determines benefits under your plan, and treatment recommendations depend on clinical needs as well as coverage.
A different Blue plan needs its own check
What happens after you reach out
You do not need to choose a program before asking for help. Select “Not sure yet” if you would like to discuss your options.
Request contact. Complete the Free, Confidential Assessment in the hero for yourself or someone you care about. Insurance information is optional.
Talk about the next step. An ARC admissions team member can discuss your concerns, practical needs and questions about care. A clinical assessment is needed to determine an appropriate treatment recommendation.
Clarify fit and coverage. Before treatment begins, confirm the recommended program, current schedule, availability and any insurance requirements or costs. If you need care ARC does not provide, discuss a more appropriate starting point.
This website form requests contact; it does not provide a diagnosis, guarantee admission or commit you to treatment. It is not an emergency service.
Questions you may be asking
No. It requests contact. Any required authorization must be confirmed separately.
Ask about clinical suitability and the current plan-specific authorization and benefit requirements.
Ask about deductibles, copayments and coinsurance for the recommended program; no fixed cost is promised here.

Privacy and the assessment request
The Free, Confidential Assessment requests contact from ARC's admissions team. It is not a diagnosis or an emergency service. Submitting it does not commit you to treatment, and insurance information is optional.
